School History Overview
國立臺南家齊高級中等學校創立於1924年4月1日(日治大正十三年)，最初為附設於臺南商業補習學校的一年制女子專修科。越三年，改制為三年制。1933年4月，學校正式獨立為「臺南女子技藝學校」，翌年5月遷入進學街的新校舍。此後，校名多次更迭：1937年為「臺南實踐女學校」、1941年為「臺南家政女學校」、1944年4月為「臺南商業實踐女學校」。
National Tainan Chia-Chi Senior High School was founded on April 1, 1924 (the 13th year of the Taisho era during the Japanese colonial period). Initially, it was a one-year "Girls' Special Course" attached to the Tainan Commercial Supplementary School. Three years later, it was expanded to a three-year system. In April 1933, the school became independent as the "Tainan Girls' Arts School" and moved to a new campus on Jinsyue Street the following May. Subsequently, the school name changed several times: "Tainan Practical Girls' School" in 1937, "Tainan Home Economics Girls' School" in 1941, and "Tainan Commercial Practical Girls' School" in April 1944.
1945年12月17日，由林章達先生奉令接收學校，翌年2月改稱為「臺南市立女子初級商業職業學校」。1952年8月，奉令試辦高、初級部家事科，1954年奉廳令正式改名為「臺南市立家事職業學校」。
On December 17, 1945, Mr. Lin Zhang-da received orders to take over the school. In February of the following year, it was renamed "Tainan Municipal Girls' Junior Commercial Vocational School." In August 1952, the school was ordered to pilot both Senior and Junior Home Economics Departments. In 1954, it was officially renamed "Tainan Municipal Vocational School of Home Economics" by order of the Department.
1956年9月，學校開始兼辦普通初中業務。1957年8月，奉令代辦「臺南市女中」，同年11月1日，該校正式成立，本校兼辦之初中業務移交該校接管。1962年8月1日，改制為「臺灣省立臺南家事職業學校」，並於1970年7月停辦初級部，更名為「臺灣省立臺南高級家事職業學校」。1972年8月，再次改制為「臺灣省立臺南家齊女子高級中學」，仍兼辦家事類科。
In September 1956, the school began managing a general Junior High School program. In August 1957, it was ordered to act as the preparatory agent for "Tainan Municipal Girls' High School." When that school was officially established on November 1 of the same year, the junior high business managed by our school was handed over. On August 1, 1962, the school was reformed as "Taiwan Provincial Tainan Vocational School of Home Economics." The Junior Division was discontinued in July 1970, and the school was renamed "Taiwan Provincial Tainan Senior Vocational School of Home Economics." In August 1972, it was restructured again as "Taiwan Provincial Tainan Chia-Chi Girls' Senior High School," while continuing to operate Home Economics vocational departments.
1980年增設「高級家事職業進修補習學校」，1990年增設資優教育舞蹈實驗班。2000年2月，因應政府精省政策，學校改隸中央，更名為「國立臺南家齊女子高級中學」。
In 1980, the "Senior Home Economics Vocational Supplementary School" (Evening School) was added. In 1990, the Dance Experimental Class for Gifted Education was established. In February 2000, in response to the government's provincial streamlining policy, the school came under the jurisdiction of the central government and was renamed "National Tainan Chia-Chi Girls' Senior High School."
自103學年度(2014年)起，配合十二年國民基本教育制度改革，除採免試入學外，增加特色招生管道。105學年度(2016年)起，普通科開始招收男學生80名，職業類科則不設性別限制。為符合辦學現況，於2016年8月1日正式更名為「國立臺南家齊高級中等學校」。2019年，進修學校業務停辦。109學年度(2020年)起，因應臺南區特色招生考試分發入學停止辦理，普通科免試入學男生招收名額改為105名。
Starting from the 2014 Academic Year, in alignment with the 12-Year Basic Education reform, the school added "Special Admission" channels in addition to "Exam-Free Admission." From the 2016 Academic Year, the General High School Division (Academic Program) began admitting 80 male students, and the Vocational Division removed gender restrictions. To reflect the current status of the school, it was officially renamed "National Tainan Chia-Chi Senior High School" on August 1, 2016. In 2019, the Supplementary (Evening) School ceased operations. From the 2020 Academic Year, in response to the suspension of the Tainan District Special Admission Exam Placement, the quota for male students in the General High School Division via Exam-Free Admission was increased to 105.

(九) 民國59年改為臺灣省立臺南高級家事職業學校。
(9) Renamed "Taiwan Provincial Tainan Senior Vocational School of Home Economics" in 1970.
(十) 民國61年改制為臺灣省立臺南家齊女子高級中學兼辦家事職業類科。
(10) Restructured as "Taiwan Provincial Tainan Chia-Chi Girls' Senior High School" in 1972, continuing to operate Home Economics vocational departments.
(十一) 民國69年附設高級家事職業進修補習學校。
(11) Established the affiliated "Senior Home Economics Vocational Supplementary School" in 1980.
(十二) 民國79年高中部增設資賦優異教育舞蹈實驗班。
(12) Added the "Dance Experimental Class for Gifted Education" in the High School Division in 1990.
(十三) 民國89年改名為國立臺南家齊女子高級中學。

(十四) 101學年度起職業類科服裝科調整為流行服飾科。
(14) The Vocational Division's "Clothing Department" was restructured into the "Fashion Styling Department" starting from the 2012 Academic Year.
(十五) 101學年度起高中部辦理科學實驗班1班。
(15) The High School Division established one "Science Experimental Class" starting from the 2012 Academic Year.
(十六) 102學年度起高中部辦理語言實驗班1班。
(16) The High School Division established one "Language Experimental Class" starting from the 2013 Academic Year.
(十七) 103學年度起科學實驗班更名為數理實驗班。
(17) The "Science Experimental Class" was renamed the "Mathematics and Science Experimental Class" starting from the 2014 Academic Year.
(十八) 103學年度起因應十二年國民基本教育入學制度改變，除免試入學外，增加特色招生管道。
(18) Starting from the 2014 Academic Year, in response to changes in the 12-Year Basic Education admission system, "Special Admission" channels were added alongside "Exam-Free Admission."
(十九) 105年改名為國立臺南家齊高級中等學校。
(19) Renamed "National Tainan Chia-Chi Senior High School" in 2016.
